Baby Clothes

Shopping for Ella is so fun - It is great when you know that what you are picking out will fit and will look adorable. This is for sure what is missing from shopping for myself :)
I am in love with this baby consignment store I found and can always find adorable outfits for Ella there and everything is in great shape!
For Christmas we decided to just get Ella a few outfits that she needs and a few small things (she can't unwrap anything and doesn't really know it is Christmas so we didn't think we needed to go over board)

Trying to chat with Ella

Ella recently starting baby talking. It is mostly gurgle sounds and coos but it is the sweetest thing on earth. She gets very camera shy so it is hard to get her to do it while I am recording her but this is footage of our attempt. It is not really Ella talking but it is too cute to pass up.

Introducing Ella

Ella Grace was born on October 1st, 2009. After a marathon labor our sweet girl was brought into the world via c-section. She has been rocking our world ever since!
Now, almost 3 months old, she is working on rolling over and sleeping through the night and is so close to doing both!She slept through the night for the first time just this last week. It was heavenly for me but she has not had a repeat performance and I am hoping that any day now she will consistently make a habit of a full nights rest. She has a love/hate relationship with naps and changes daily from monster long naps to barely being able to sleep for 45 minutes - I have been told that napping makes babies smarter so we hope it will be the longer napper that finally sticks. Who would have ever guessed teaching a person to sleep could be such a hard task.

She is already loving music and the only thing that will keep her entertained while mama is taking a shower is Mozart. She loves her "A Big World" CD and usually will wail the entire car ride if we are not listening to it.
Marcus loves to carry the baby in a front pack and the baby loves to be so close to her daddy.

He is already wrapped firmly around her finger and if she was able to ask him for the moon and stars he would gladly rack his brain to come up with a way to wrangle them for her. What a lucky girl she is to have such an amazing dad. I just know she is already better off in the world because of the great relationship that is already starting between them.
I absolutely love to dress Ella - It is amazing how she can take an adorable outfit and turn it into the cutest thing I have ever seen.

And since I am staying at home and we are on a budget it is also becoming one of my favorite things to bargain hunt for baby! There are so many cute things out there and finding a good price is part of the fun! I am also learning to bargain hunt for myself and the sale room at Anthropologie is fast becoming my favorite place - but more on that later.
